What is Network & IT Infrastructure Penetration Testing?

Network & IT Infrastructure Penetration Testing is a comprehensive, hands-on security assessment that simulates real-world attacks against your entire on-premise and cloud network environment — before adversaries exploit them.

Our certified engineers manually probe every layer of your infrastructure: routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, Active Directory, servers, hypervisors, and perimeter controls. We go beyond automated scans to uncover complex, multi-hop attack paths and privilege escalation chains that tools consistently miss.

  • 🏗️
End-to-End Infrastructure Visibility Understand every exploitable path across your network — from perimeter to domain controller — before attackers map it themselves.
  • 🏅
Regulatory Compliance Meet PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and SOC 2 requirements with documented evidence of infrastructure security validation.
  • 🛡️
Ransomware & Lateral Movement Prevention Identify and close the misconfigurations, exposed services, and trust relationships that ransomware actors exploit to propagate across your environment.
  • ⚡
Operational Continuity Assurance All testing conducted with zero operational disruption. Our safe, controlled methodology protects your production environment throughout the engagement.

🔎
Network Scanning & Enumeration

Port scanning, service fingerprinting, OS detection, and protocol enumeration to build a complete asset inventory and attack surface baseline.

03
🔬
Vulnerability Analysis

Automated scanning augmented with deep manual analysis to identify CVEs, misconfigurations, weak credentials, and unpatched systems.

04
⚔️
Exploitation

Controlled exploitation of confirmed vulnerabilities to validate real-world impact — firewall bypass, credential attacks, protocol abuse, and service exploitation.

05
🔓
Lateral Movement & Privilege Escalation

Pivoting through network segments, AD enumeration, Kerberoasting, Pass-the-Hash, and domain escalation to map the full blast radius of a compromise.

06
📋
Reporting & Remediation

Executive summary, full technical report, CVSS v3.1 severity ratings, network diagrams annotated with attack paths, and a prioritised remediation roadmap.

📊
CVSS Severity Scoring

Every finding rated with CVSS v3.1 — Critical, High, Medium, Low — with annotated attack path diagrams for rapid remediation prioritisation.

🔁
Free Retest Included

After remediation, we verify all fixes at no additional cost and issue a formal VAPT Certificate upon successful closure.

🔐
Secure Client Portal

Live access to findings, remediation tracking, and historical reports through an encrypted client dashboard.

Internal & External Network Penetration Testing

Full-spectrum coverage across your internal LAN/WAN, perimeter defences, and cloud-connected infrastructure — assessed from every attacker vantage point.

🏢
Perspective

Internal Network Pentest

Simulates a malicious insider, rogue contractor, or attacker who has already gained a foothold inside your perimeter. We assess from within your LAN to expose Active Directory weaknesses, misconfigured trust relationships, lateral movement paths, and privilege escalation routes to domain admin.

External Network Pentest

Replicates a skilled external adversary probing your internet-facing perimeter with zero prior access. Every public IP, exposed service, VPN gateway, firewall rule, and DMZ component is assessed against real-world attack techniques and known CVEs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our Network & IT Infrastructure penetration testing service.

What is a Network Penetration Test? +
A Network Penetration Test is a targeted cybersecurity assessment where certified engineers simulate real-world attacks against your network infrastructure — routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and Active Directory — to discover and remediate vulnerabilities before adversaries exploit them. Unlike automated vulnerability scanners, our testers apply adversarial thinking to uncover complex multi-hop attack chains that tools cannot detect.
Will the testing cause downtime or disruption? +
No. Our methodology is specifically designed to operate within your production environment without causing disruption. We perform all exploitation in a controlled, non-destructive manner and coordinate timing with your team to ensure no impact to business operations. We can also schedule intensive testing during maintenance windows if preferred.
What is the difference between Internal and External Network Pentesting? +
An External Network Pentest simulates an attacker operating from the internet, probing your perimeter — public IPs, internet-facing services, VPN gateways, and DMZ components. An Internal Network Pentest simulates a threat actor who has already breached the perimeter (insider, rogue device, or compromised host), assessing your internal LAN, Active Directory, servers, and segmentation controls. We recommend both for complete coverage.
Does the assessment include Active Directory testing? +
Yes — Active Directory assessment is a core component of our internal network pentest. We test for misconfigurations such as Kerberoasting, AS-REP Roasting, Pass-the-Hash, DCSync, ACL abuse, unconstrained delegation, and other common attack paths that lead to domain privilege escalation. AD weaknesses account for the majority of high-severity findings in enterprise environments.
What deliverables will we receive? +
You receive: a detailed technical report with all findings, CVSS v3.1 severity ratings, reproduction steps, and proof-of-concept evidence; annotated network diagrams showing attack paths; an executive summary suitable for board and C-suite review; a prioritised remediation roadmap; access to our secure client portal; a free retest to verify remediation; and a VAPT Certificate upon successful closure.
How often should we conduct a Network Pentest? +
We recommend annual network penetration testing as a baseline, with additional assessments following major infrastructure changes — new cloud connectivity, firewall policy updates, M&A network integrations, or significant changes to your AD environment. Organisations subject to PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, or HIPAA often require quarterly or bi-annual assessments to maintain compliance.
